The Arctic Zone brand was born in 1989 on the streets of Chicago. Starting with a small team of folks that wanted to change the status quo for products, they began making soft sided coolers with plastic interiors and compact lunch packs with ingenious compartments. Always looking to push the envelope, Arctic Zone developed innovative products with a bit of an attitude. The company believed that consumers should go out and do things, have fun, enjoy life. The products reflected that thinking.
People seemed to like what Arctic Zone was doing and the company began to grow. Within ten years, Arctic Zone had become the leading brand of soft-sided coolers and lunch packs.
In 2005, California Innovations acquired the Arctic Zone brand. California Innovations had its own track record of success in the insulated products area but realized that Arctic Zone had developed a following of consumers who liked the brand’s irreverent approach... and maybe had a little of the same attitude.
