The product was filled with ice and the ambient temperatures were alternated between approximately 90°F/32°C and 72°F/22°C every 12 hours to simulate day/night temperatures during the summer. The radiant heat barrier lid deflects the heat from above while the Cold Block™ base inhibits cold escaping from the bottom. Results may vary according to the ambient temperature, the volume and the starting temperature of the contents.
The bottle/jug was filled with 50% water and 50% ice; the Freeze Stick™ was frozen. Testing was performed using a 2 hour rotation schedule that simulated full sun (90°F/32°C ambient temperature) and full shade (72°F/22°C). Cold is defined as water temperature which is not greater than 50°F/10°C.
